❌ Missing Permissions:

⚠️ Limited Access:
- Private channels - Only visible if bot is a member
Solutions
Current Status: You should now see all users including guests marked with "(Guest)"
If still missing users:
- Check User Status: Deleted or deactivated users won't appear
- Guest Users: These now appear with "(Guest)" label
- Bot Users: These are automatically filtered out
Tip: The system now includes all active human users, including guests and restricted users.
For Private Channels:
- Go to the private channel in Slack
- Click the channel name at the top
- Go to "Settings" tab
- Click "Add apps"
- Search for and add "StandUp Mate"
For Group Messages (Multi-person DMs):
Limitation: Group messages require the
mpim:read scope which is currently missing.
You can still use individual user selection instead of group messages.
Workaround: Select individual users instead of using group message channels for standups.
Warning: This will require reconfiguring all your standups.
Steps to reinstall with full permissions:
- Go to your Slack workspace settings
- Navigate to "Apps" → "Manage"
- Find "StandUp Mate" and remove it
- Use the "Add to Slack" button to reinstall
- Make sure to grant all requested permissions
This will add the missing mpim:read scope for group messages.
Method 1: Through Channel Settings
- Open the channel in Slack
- Click the channel name at the top
- Go to "Integrations" tab
- Click "Add apps"
- Find and add "StandUp Mate"
Method 2: Using @mention
- In the channel, type:
@StandUp Mate - Click "Invite to Channel" when prompted
Result: The channel will now appear in your channel selection list with a "✓" indicator.
